How To Quit Smoking - Stop Making It So difficult For Yourself

It may sound crazy that anyone would intentionally make stopping smoking any harder than necessary. However i can promise that if you want to know a secret about how to quit smoking, then just stop making it so hard on your own.

Henry Ford once said, that if you believe you are able to or else you think you can't, then in either case you're right. Within lies the problem. Many smokers think they cannot, or think it will likely be very hard.

They are saying such things as:

1. Cigarettes are my friend: Wow talk about a lousy friend.

2. I'll be lost without one: Nothing quite so comforting as lighting a toxic cigarette.

3. I need my cigarettes to think: Nothing like 4000 toxic chemicals flooding your mind to help cognition.

4. Cigarettes help me when I'm stressed. Nicotine causes an adrenal response, flooding your system with adrenalin and cortisol, nothing good about that.

5. Smoking helps me relax. Again the nicotine does no such thing. It's taking time out that's relaxing.

6. I like smoking after i eat. Just hold back until the food tastes like food and not an ashtray.

7. I usually smoke with alcohol. Take a look around, spot the non-smokers do just fine, without smoking.

8. I put on pounds basically quit. Smokers aren't any less thin or fat than any other group in society. Smoking actually causes it to be hard for the liver to collapse fats properly.

Actually one of the best bits of advice I'm able to give to a smoker is to just observe non-smokers carrying out a full day. Discover their whereabouts when they're relaxed, stressed, busy, thinking, bored, eating or drinking.

The non-smokers are managing just fine with no the help of cigarettes. Focussing on all the reasons you believe you need to smoke is simply which makes it very hard for you personally. You cannot quit whenever you think your life is so dependent on smoking.

One thing to do would be to consider the list and merely consider it. Begin to realise that smoking doesn't make anything better. It doesn't help you to relax or thing, or drive better or hold a better conversation on the telephone.

All it does is set you back lots of money, make you smell like an ashtray, and strip away 14 years of life normally. And i adore the slow painful lingering death.
